Outplacement : a legal obligation
Outplacement is a a legal requirement in Belgium for any employer who dismisses an employee aged over 45 and/or with30 weeks’ notice, as well as in the event of termination of the employment contract due to major medical force.
Since April 29, 2019, the obligation of employers regarding outplacement has been further expanded. Three legal regimes are now applicable:
